Ready, Set, Celebrate, and Blog . . .

Hello there!

It’s hard to believe it’s been a year since I created this website, and if you are new here, you’ll see I haven’t written much (or at least published). I started this blog for many reasons – to keep a journal of our adventures, share and encourage others to create theirs, and keep in touch with much-missed loved ones that we don’t see as much since hitting the road.

I’m excited to get to blogging, but I want to be honest, I have an idea of what I want out of this blog but not the journey it will take to get there. I have spent the last several decades writing in legal form for work and the last five years writing for academics. Now, I’m here to write for you and me, and I’m open to suggestions on what you would like to see shared on this site.

May 2022 started with changes, celebrations, and so many emotions. We arrived in New York for our summer workamping gig at the end of April. We arrived at our summer island home on a cold weekday just in time to set up and head out. We headed out without our trailer for a road trip to New England.

We connected with a friend of mine and his family in Connecticut. It was amazing to hang out with a friend I have known since Kindergarten. The next stop was New Hampshire. We stayed with my Uncle Petey for a few days, and I hadn’t seen him in person in over fifteen years. He lives less than a half-hour from my college.

On May 1st, I graduated from Southern New Hampshire University, earning my Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science STEM. So much to say on this, but I’ll have to save that for a separate blog post.

After a fantastic few days visiting New Hampshire, we stopped in Vermont on our way home to celebrate our fourth anniversary on May 5th. Yes, there will be a blog post on this soon as well.

If you are still reading this, THANK YOU! I’m excited to see what is coming in our adventures and for this blog. My current goal is to get a blog up and ready to share at least once a month. Ideally, I hope to write more. If there is anything you are curious about, please leave a comment here. I’m excited to share our adventures, our favorite travel and eco-friendly product reviews, and our workamping experiences.
